WIEN – SysKid ist ein interdisziplinäres Forschungsprojekt: Mediziner, Statistiker, Epidemiologen, Molekularbiologen und Bioinformatiker haben sich zusammengetan, um Fortschritte in der Prävention, Diagnostik und Therapie chronischer Nierenerkrankungen zu erzielen. Die Europäische Union unterstützt das Projekt mit 11,8 Millionen Euro aus dem Rahmenprogramm 7 (FP7). Rund um den Weltnierentag fand das erste Konsortialtreffen der SysKid-Forscher an der Medizinischen Universität Wien statt.
