Consolidation of the second SysKid project year has now started for preparing our upcoming Bergamo consortium meeting. With about 60 full publications from the early project phase and massive research data generated and presently under analysis SysKid is on track.
December dissemination provided a methodological outline for utilizing data consolidation platforms as GeneCards (www.genecards.org) in analyzing human genomics data in disease (headed by our partners from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel), the relationship between Magnesium and biomarkers in the context of vascular calcification (provided by our partners from the CHARITE, Germany), the role of TIMP1 in the cardiorenal context (driven by our partners from CNR, Italy), and TGF-b1 effects on the barrier function of renal epithelial cells (headed by our partners from the University College Dublin, Ireland)
